1. Introduction
Wonder Shows 2000 Limited (“Wonder Shows,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website https://www.wondershows.com (the “Site”) and provides amusement ride, game, and concession services at fairs and events across Manitoba, Canada. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us.
This Privacy Policy describes what personal information we collect, how we collect it, how we use and disclose it, and the rights and choices you have in relation to it. It applies to all interactions with Wonder Shows, including:
- Your use of the Site, including the web chat widget.
- SMS (text message) communications with us.
- Voice calls with us, including calls handled by automated or AI-assisted systems.
- Email communications, contact forms, booking inquiries, and ticket purchases.
- In-person interactions at our events.
We comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), and applicable Manitoba privacy laws. If you are located outside Canada and interact with us, additional privacy laws may apply to your information and we will make reasonable efforts to honour those rights where they apply.
2. Who We Are and How to Contact Us
Wonder Shows 2000 Limited is a Manitoba corporation. For privacy questions, access requests, correction requests, or to withdraw consent, please contact us:
- By email: [email protected] (or via the contact form at https://www.wondershows.com/contact/)
- By mail: Wonder Shows 2000 Limited, Manitoba, Canada (please use the mailing address listed on our Contact page)
We will respond to verified requests within 30 days as required under PIPEDA, or advise you of any necessary extension.
3. Information We Collect
The types of personal information we collect depend on how you interact with us.
3.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Contact details: name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and organization name (for booking and corporate inquiries).
- Event and booking details: event type, date, location, ride/attraction preferences, budget range, and any other details you share when submitting a booking inquiry (e.g., film shoots, corporate rentals, festivals, Christmas parties).
- Ticket purchase information: name, contact details, quantity, event selection, and payment confirmation details. Payment card information is processed by our third-party payment processor and is not stored by us.
- Chat, SMS, and voice communications: the content of messages you send through the chat widget, SMS conversations, voicemail messages, call recordings (where applicable), and transcripts of calls handled by our conversational AI.
- Consent records: your opt-in preferences for email, SMS, and voice marketing; the date, time, method, and wording of consent.
3.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, time spent on pages, clicks, and approximate location derived from IP address.
- Cookies and similar technologies: session cookies, persistent cookies, analytics identifiers, and pixels used for site functionality, analytics, and advertising. See Section 8 for details.
- Chat widget telemetry: when you interact with the chat widget on our Site, the widget may collect your IP address, browser/device information, the pages you visit on our Site during the chat session, and the contents of your messages.
- Call metadata: phone number, date, time, duration, and call outcome for inbound and outbound calls handled through our CRM and communications platform.
3.3 Information from Third Parties
- Service providers: our CRM, hosting, analytics, advertising, email, SMS, and voice service providers may share data with us (e.g., delivery status, open rates, click data, call recordings).
- Social media: if you interact with our Facebook, Instagram, or other social accounts, we may receive limited profile information and engagement data from those platforms.
- Event partners: fair organizers and venue partners may share attendee or booking information with us in connection with events we operate.
4. Conversational AI, Chat Widget, SMS, and Voice Communications
We use a customer relationship management (CRM) and communications platform, HighLevel (white-labeled for us as “HelloCRM” by our service provider Hello Digital Marketing), to operate our chat widget, email, SMS, and voice channels. Portions of these communications may be handled by conversational AI (automated chatbots or voice agents) before, during, or instead of a human Wonder Shows representative.
4.1 What This Means for You
- You may interact with an automated system. The chat widget on our Site and some inbound/outbound calls may be answered or assisted by a conversational AI. The AI will generally identify itself as an automated assistant, and a human team member is available on request during business hours.
- Content is captured and stored. Your messages, the AI’s responses, call transcripts, call recordings (where we record calls, which will be disclosed at the start of the call), voicemails, SMS, and any files or images you share are stored in our CRM and associated with your contact record.
- AI processing. The content of your communications is processed by large language model and speech-to-text providers used by our platform to generate replies, transcribe calls, summarize conversations, classify intent, and route your inquiry. These providers are bound by contractual terms restricting the use of your data.
- Human review. Conversations and recordings may be reviewed by Wonder Shows staff or Hello Digital Marketing personnel for quality assurance, training, dispute resolution, and service improvement.
4.2 Purposes
We use AI, chat, SMS, and voice communications to:
- Respond to inquiries about events, tickets, attractions, bookings, and general questions.
- Send appointment, event, and booking confirmations, reminders, and updates.
- Send marketing and promotional messages where you have consented to receive them.
- Improve our services, agent performance, and AI model performance (using de-identified or aggregated data where feasible).
4.3 SMS Program Details
- Consent: you will only receive SMS from us if you have provided express consent (for example, by checking an opt-in box, replying YES to a confirmation message, or providing your number in a form that clearly discloses SMS communications).
- Message frequency: message frequency varies based on your interaction with us. A typical marketing program may send up to 4 messages per month; transactional messages (booking confirmations, reminders) may be sent as needed.
- Rates: message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier.
- Opt-out: you can opt out of marketing SMS at any time by replying STOP to any message. You may reply HELP for help. Opting out of SMS does not withdraw consent for other channels (email, voice).
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- We do not sell SMS opt-in information or mobile phone numbers to third parties, and we do not share this information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
4.4 Voice and AI Call Handling
- Call recording and transcription: some calls may be recorded and/or transcribed. Where calls are recorded, you will be notified at the start of the call and may request not to be recorded (in which case we may need to handle your inquiry through another channel).
- AI voice agents: if your call is answered by an AI agent, the agent will identify itself as automated. You may request a human at any time, subject to our hours of operation.
- Voicemail and missed-call text-back: if you call outside our hours or we miss your call, our system may send you an automated SMS offering to help. This SMS requires your implied consent from initiating the call; you can reply STOP to opt out of further messages.
5. How We Use Personal Information
We use the personal information we collect for the following purposes:
- To respond to your inquiries, booking requests, and customer service questions.
- To process ticket purchases and bookings, including any refunds.
- To send transactional communications (confirmations, reminders, schedule changes, safety notices).
- To send marketing communications about our upcoming events, promotions, and news, where you have consented.
- To operate, secure, maintain, and improve our Site and services.
- To understand how visitors use our Site through analytics.
- To measure and improve our advertising.
- To train, evaluate, and improve our AI-assisted chat and voice systems, typically using de-identified or aggregated data.
- To comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, and enforce our Terms of Use.
- To protect the rights, safety, and property of Wonder Shows, our staff, our guests, and the public, including preventing fraud and abuse.
6. Legal Basis and Consent
Under PIPEDA, we rely primarily on your consent to collect, use, and disclose your personal information. Depending on the nature of the information and how it is used, your consent may be:
- Express (for example, checking an opt-in box to receive SMS marketing, or replying YES to a confirmation), or
- Implied (for example, when you call us, submit an inquiry, or purchase a ticket and the use is reasonably obvious and consistent with the reason you provided the information).
You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal and contractual restrictions and reasonable notice, by contacting us or by using the opt-out mechanisms described in this Policy. Withdrawing consent may mean we are unable to provide certain services to you.
7. How We Share Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described below:
7.1 Service Providers
We share information with third-party service providers who process it on our behalf to help us operate our business, including:
- Hello Digital Marketing (HDM) and the HighLevel / HelloCRM platform — CRM, chat widget, SMS, voice, email, marketing automation, and conversational AI.
- Website hosting and WordPress maintenance providers.
- Payment processors for ticket purchases.
- Email delivery, SMS aggregation, and voice/telephony providers.
- Analytics and advertising providers (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta/Facebook pixel, where implemented).
- Large language model and speech-to-text providers used by our CRM for AI-assisted chat and voice.
These providers are contractually required to safeguard your information and use it only for the purposes we specify. Some may be located outside Canada (including the United States), in which case your information may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions, including lawful access by foreign authorities.
7.2 Event Partners and Venues
When you purchase tickets for, or attend, an event operated with a partner fair, venue, or community organization, we may share relevant information with that partner for the purpose of operating the event.
7.3 Legal, Safety, and Business Transfers
- We may disclose personal information where required or permitted by law, to comply with a subpoena, court order, or lawful request by a government authority.
- We may disclose information to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding suspected illegal activity, fraud, threats to safety, or violations of our Terms of Use.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to customary confidentiality protections.
8. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies on the Site for the following purposes:
- Strictly necessary: to keep the Site running, maintain your session, remember your cart, and enable the chat widget.
- Performance and analytics: to understand how the Site is used and to improve it.
- Functionality: to remember your preferences.
- Advertising: where implemented, to measure and personalize advertising on our Site and on third-party platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Google.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect parts of the Site, including the chat widget and any cart or ticketing functionality.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, to provide our services, to comply with our legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information. Typical retention practices include:
- Booking and ticket records: kept for the duration required by applicable tax and accounting laws (generally up to 7 years).
- CRM contact records and communication history (chat, SMS, email, call transcripts/recordings): kept while you remain an active contact and for a reasonable period thereafter, unless you request earlier deletion.
- Marketing consent and opt-out records: kept as long as required to demonstrate compliance with CASL and other laws.
- Analytics data: retained according to the retention settings of the analytics provider (typically 14 to 26 months).
When personal information is no longer needed, we will securely delete or de-identify it.
10. Safeguards
We use reasonable physical, technical, and administrative safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including access controls, encryption in transit, vendor due diligence, and limiting access on a need-to-know basis. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to or from the Site.
11. Your Privacy Rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Withdraw your consent to continued collection, use, or disclosure (subject to legal and contractual restrictions).
- Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal retention obligations.
- Unsubscribe from marketing email, SMS, or voice communications at any time.
- Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (www.priv.gc.ca) or the Manitoba Ombudsman if applicable.
To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 2. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
12. Children’s Privacy
Our Site and communications are directed at a general audience, including families. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 13 without parental consent. If you believe we have collected information from a child without appropriate consent, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
13. Third-Party Links
The Site contains links to third-party websites and social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. Please review their privacy policies before providing them with your information.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Material changes will be posted on the Site and, where appropriate, communicated to you directly. Your continued use of the Site or our services after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
15. Contact Us About Privacy

- We reserve the right to refuse service, refuse or cancel a booking, or remove any person from an event for conduct that endangers safety or violates event rules.
- Events are subject to weather, safety, regulatory, and operational conditions. Times and availability may change without notice.
6. Intellectual Property
The Site and all content on it — including text, images, photographs, graphics, logos, the “Wonder Shows” name and tagline “The Midway that Sparkles,” video, and software — are owned by Wonder Shows 2000 Limited or our licensors and are protected by Canadian and international intellectual property laws. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Site, or the Services will be brought exclusively in the courts of Manitoba, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Effective Date” at the top indicates the most recent revision. Material changes will be posted on the Site, and where appropriate, communicated to you.
